Remember the old spiritual, "The foot bone 's connected to the leg bone, the leg bone connected to the knee bone, the knee bone connected to the thigh bone ...!" Many of us as children learned as children that the bones were connected through this wonderful tune, "Dem Dry Bones."

What we know now is that optimum health - mental, physical and spiritual - relies on the degree of communication and connection between the mind and the body. All the systems of the body need to be balanced to create optimal health and wellness. When it is in synchrony the body can self-correct, however when this communication system breaks down due to emotional, physical, environmental or hereditary stress factors the system becomes overloaded and early warning symptoms appears. BodyTalk was designed to re-synchronize the energy circuits of the body through enabling the body's mechanism to function at optimal level, thus accelerating the innate healing process. This method developed by Dr. John Veltheim in the mid 1990's has gained world wide recognition and popularity due to its effectiveness as an adjunct in the field of holistic health care.
The BodyTalk System is a combination of advanced yoga, advaitic philosophy, modern physics, mathematics, the energy dynamics of acupuncture, the clinical findings of applied kinesiology and Western medical expertise. It is a form of therapy that allows the body's energy systems to be synchronized so they can operate as nature intended. Since our energy systems become unsynchronized, primarily increasing its effectiveness and promoting faster healing. BodyTalk's major assets are simplicity, safety, speed of results, and effectiveness
Thoroughly Integrative
BodyTalk has evolved into a state-of-the-art approach to integrative healthcare by drawing upon Western medicine's scientifically supported research along with a large number of highly recognized ancient and modern healing methods and principles of knowledge.The success of the BodyTalk System stems from the following components:
1.BodyTalk is non-invasive, safe, and easy to learn.
2. BodyTalk facilitates the bodymind's well being through enhanced communication.
3.'The BodyTalk System creates an energy balance in the body that induces the body's own innate restorative powers ,thus it does not diagnose, nor address dis-ease symptomatically.
'From layperson to medical specialist, BodyTalk has several levels of application that meet the needs of those who wish to help themselves and/or others regain and retain a healthier balance within body, mind and spirit. This revolutionary application of practical, effective techniques is what sets the B;odyTalk System apart.
This synergy allows it to be effective as a stand alone technique in addressing health challenges or as a complement to other treatment modalities. As a Mental Health Therapist I have found that BodyTalk sessions have been highly effective in a diverse array of conditions.
WHY DO WE NEED IT:
It is critical that the communication networks or energy circuits of the body be open, as there are billions of synchronized activities that need to take place every second to keep the body in good health. The body only fails in its job because its communication systems have been severely compromised through the external stresses of life. In essence, the energy circuits are "blown" in a similar manner to electrical circuits in our homes that "blow" when they are overloaded. By reestablishing good communication between the various parts of the body, they once again are able to "talk" to each other. The body is then capable of healing itself rapidly and effectively.
The body has built-in mechanisms to initiate the healing process. If we cut ourselves, the body immediately sets up a process to start healing the wound. This occurs at several levels: physical, emotional, and mental. Although this is obvious to everyone, most people do not fully realize just how wonderful the human healing mechanism actually is.
In today's world, our lifestyles interfere with the body's own healing capabilities in many ways:
• physical injuries, physical stresses or incomplete healing of diseases and traumas;
emotional traumas and issues that we experience from time to time, but cannot process and release effectively (i.e. anger, fear, worry, sadness, grief, guilt or jealousy); chemical substances in the food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe; exposure to artificial energy fields and the electronic devices we use daily (i.e. power plants, overhead electrical wires, phones, cell phones, pagers, computers, TVs, VCRs, stereo equipment, microwave ovens, lights, clock radios, etc.).
