   This practice oriented practicum provides the opportunity to share my extensive mental health expertise with members of the BodyTalk community who seek additional knowledge and practical experience with these often challenging issues.

     Emphasis will be on reviewing module components related to emotional health issues, including active memory, brain and nervous system endocrine and environmental issues.  In addition we will take the opportunity to explore your emotional reactions to client’s emotional states, seeking to diffuse anxiety and increase your confidence and competence.  There will be ample opportunities to practice, practice, practice!!

 New Procedural changes in the Body Talk Innate Yes and No Questioning format!

     In order to be consistent with John Veltheim’s Advance work in Parama BodyTalk, he has introduced a new method of verbal inquiry that will greatly facilitate your results.  These procedures will be effective in January 2004, at which time Module I and II classes and workbooks will be updated to reflect these changes.  All advanced modules will be taught in this format with an initial review session, before the advanced content.

   Gone are more specific, outer and inner links; replaced now by parcels, packages, satellites and parallel sessions.  This conceptual way of organizing information creates an opportunity to identify a series of links with simultaneous tapout!  What incredible and exciting results are achieved with this truly synchronous balancing technique.  The actual protocol chart is essentially unchanged except for minimal clarification but the movement around the chart through these new procedures are truly brilliant.

Join me for an extensive review and practice sessions to get you up to speed in this new and dynamic appreciation of the BodyTalk Process and its relationship to the Mindbody  Continuum. The following manual is written and provided specifically for this course and is useful in understanding about how the brain functions.

         This compendium of information, designed to increase the BodyTalk practitioner’s knowledge and comfort level with mental health concepts, was originally written for seminar participants in Dr. Bevilacqua’s Advanced Practicum.  However it stands alone in its ability to offer an expansive array of information to get more and more specific, facilitating the healing process.

      Spanning over 100 pages, with color figures of the brain and nervous system, there is extensive information on how the brain works its interplay with emotional factors and the influence of the endocrine and immune system  on mental health.  Issues related to anxiety and depression states are addressed, with additional information on mental health assessment and crisis information.  A brief review of psychotherapeutic agents and their major effects on the brain and organ systems are also covered.

       This work was written with you in mind by a BodyTalk Instructor with an extensive background as a psychotherapist with a psychiatric nursing background and a retired clinical pharmacologist with extensive experience teaching anatomy and physiology as well as medical school pharmacology.
